The main A830 road leads to Mallaig, with the railway track running almost parallel.  Just south of the town of Morar site the creatively titled River Morar Bridge and its around here that many of the famed Silver Sands beaches can be accessed. There is a main car park along a b-road road just before the bridge, as well as a number of options for lay by parking, so there’s a good chance of finding somewhere to access one of the beaches. Depending on the tide, there are plenty of walking options and I am able to go some way before running out of beach. The more secluded beaches here remind me of Ardtalla on Islay for some reason. I think it’s the fruit trees at the back of the beach. Across the river I can see the beach at Bourblach that I walked on under an hour ago. A lovely area and rightly very popular.
