Just north of the impressive Killantringan lighthouse sits the magnificent beach running across Killantringan Bay and Knock Bay. I park at the small car park just before the lighthouse and follow the coast path around the headland before dropping down onto this expansive beach with rock pools, wide sands and rising green cliffs. It’s a great place to end my day’s walking. I could go further up the coast to Larbrax, but I have a long drive home and I decide to bring my tour of the Rhins to a close for now. I’ll be back another day to visit the northern end of the peninsula and the beaches around Stranrear.
