202. Opinan Beach

I am celebrating the fifth anniversary of starting my project with a nostalgic return to wonderful Wester Ross and looking forward to a weekend forecast of unbroken sunshine. I head straight to Red Point, which was my very first Scottish beach and the inspiration for everything that has followed. Just a few miles north of Red Point is Opinan beach, which I had spotted from the road on my first trip but didn’t visit. This time, I pull over and make the short walk through the dunes to spend some time on this nice quiet beach.
