303. Port Logan Bay
As I travel anti-clockwise around the Rhins of Galloway I finally make my way to the west coast, where I expect the make-up of the beaches to change. I arrive first at the picturesque harbour village of Port Logan, with its sheltered bay dominated by a stone harbour and tower at one end. By now the sun is rising higher in the sky and the temperature is creeping up too, setting off the scene perfectly. I wander round to the tower and across the bay to the other end of the beach. Back at the small car park at the back of the bay I collect a painted stone from a box forming part of a creative treasure trail. Visitors are invited to take one of the stones, painted by children at Drummore Primary School, as a keepsake. I am pleased to do so.
