22. Calgary Bay
27 March 2022
A long waited first trip to the Isle of Mull and a beautiful Spring day too. My drive to Oban from Manchester was smoother than expected, so I managed to jump on an earlier ferry, which fortunately gave me an unexpected few hours to begin beach combing on a fabulous Sunday evening. I headed straight to the north coast and the much celebrated Calgary Bay. What a wonderful place to start. A sweeping bay, pristine golden sand and the added bonus of a small scupture park in the woodland behind the beach. A superb beach, and still popular with a few groups of campers, locals and day trippers watching the sun setting over the bay.
