45. Ardminish Beach
5 August 2022
After hot-footing it back from the south of the island I check out of the Gigha Hotel and make the ten minute journey to the ferry terminal. Alongside the terminal is Ardminish’s own quaint little beach, acting as a perfect hors d’oeuvres to visitors arriving on the island for the first time as they disembark from the ferry. For me, it’s a fond farewell. I am sad to leave beautiful Gigha but I vow to return. The community here is building a network of paths linking key landmarks and beauty spots across the island, which when complete will make this an even more attractive little escape … and only 20 minutes from the mainland.
