I leave Burntisland and head towards the village of Kinghorn. At this point, the Fife coastal villages are coming thick and fast, each with their own unique history and character. Pettycur Bay sits just south of the village, sheltered by dunes with views across the Firth. The tide is in, so much of the bay is covered. Once again, there are only a few dog walkers around, although one of them is joining her dog for a swim in the sea, which is commitment.
