202. Opinan Beach

I was celebrating the fifth anniversary of starting my project with a nostalgic return to wonderful Wester Ross and looking forward to a weekend forecast of unbroken sunshine. I headed straight to Red Point, which was my very first Scottish beach and the inspiration for everything that followed. Just a few miles north of Red Point is Opinan beach, which I had spotted from the road on my first trip but didn’t visit. This time, I pulled over and made the short walk through the dunes to spend some time on this nice quiet beach.
