170. Ardtoe Beach
After the long but magnificent forest walk to Camas an Lighe and Cal na Cruise, I was heading north for the final beach walk of my trip to Ardnamurchan at Smirisary, but on the way I headed around the other side of Kentra Bay to visit the small community beach at Ardtoe. On arrival, a group of portly middle aged men were preparing to head out to sea in kayaks from the white sandy beach, slightly spoiling the view! So I headed first to the larger beach a bit further on past the marine research centre, where a family were dipping their toes in the sea. The kayakers were still faffing about when I returned to the lovely smaller beach, so I left them to it.
