157. Traigh Beaches
After my early morning visit to Camusdarach, I stop off to admire some of the beaches that sit alongside the small coast road north of Arisaig. They come thick and fast as the road winds along the coast around the settlement of Traigh, and although parking is not always easy, you can almost reach out to touch the white sand as beach after beach comes into view. I’ll return here next time to walk the entire stretch of road and explore each beach in turn.
Revisit 28th April 2026
I’m back in Arisaig to enjoy a trip to the Isle of Eigg, but there are plenty of opportunities to follow the coast road north of the village alongside the fabulous Traigh beaches again, almost two years since my first visit. Once again, the weather is sublime and I get to spend more time exploring the many sandy bays that pepper the coast here, including a spectacular sunset. These photos are from both visits.
