233. Pirnmill Beach

As you head up the west coast of Arran the coastline is almost entirely rocky. The accessible stretches of coastline that sit alongside each of the tiny settlements along the road could technically be described as beaches but really they are just a continuous stretch of rocky shore. Having said that, I’ve picked out two notable sections alongside the villages of Pirnmill and Catacol as entries into the project. First up, Pirmill, with a popular restaurant and post office, and plenty of parking options to wander down onto the ‘beach’.
