An information board midway along the back of this sweeping beach on Arran’s rugged southern coastline describes Kilmory as “the marine graveyard of many a shipwreck”.  There are a number of ways to access the beach here, but I joined from the path starting at the local school and signposted to the Torrylin Cairn ancient burial ground. The beach is wide enough for a hearty walk, with great views over to Aisla Craig. This is the third Kilmory Beach in the project.
