239. Wemyss Bay Beach

Wemyss Bay is the departure point for the ferry to Rothesay on the Isle of Bute, my destination for the day, but seeing as I was early for the 7.15 departure I had time to pop up the road to the local beach. Not too much too say about this beach, but more notable was the superb Wemyss Bay railway station, regarded as one of the finest in the country. Architecturally impressive, it has retained its Victorian vibe with its signage, tea room and book shop.
