238. Lunderston Bay
9 April 2025
I’m only including this one for the record but to be honest I gained no pleasure from this rather messy beach, which sits on the banks of the Firth of Clyde and is the nearest sandy beach to Glasgow. When I popped by on a sunny evening I was naively expecting to find it empty but it was absolutely heaving and I quickly turned back. I tried again the next morning at sunrise as I was driving to catch the ferry at Wemyss Bay. This time it was deserted but shabby and unattractive, and I didn’t spend more than five minutes here.
