9 April 2025

I’m only including this one for the record but to be honest I gained no pleasure from this rather messy beach, which sits on the banks of the Firth of Clyde and is the nearest sandy beach to Glasgow. I popped by the previous evening and was naively expecting to find it empty, but it was absolutely heaving and I quickly turned around in the car park. I try again the next morning at sunrise as I drive to catch the ferry at Wemyss Bay. This time it is deserted but shabby and unattractive, and I don’t spend more than five minutes here.
