I’m only including this beach for the record but to be honest I gained no pleasure from visiting this beach, which sits on the banks of the Firth of Clyde and is the nearest sandy beach to Glasgow. When I popped by on a sunny evening I was naively expecting to find it empty but it was absolutely heaving and I quickly turned back. I tried again the next morning at sunrise as I was driving to catch the ferry at Wemyss Bay. This time it was deserted but shabby and unattractive, and I didn’t sped more than five minutes here.
