226. Barassie Beach

Barassie is a northern suburb of Troon and the main road runs alongside the easy accessible sandy beach with low grassy dunes and great views over to Arran. My plan was to explore a bit further up the coast, but by now, on this warm afternoon, the beaches are getting busy and I’m really not keen on beaches with more than a handful of people on. After Barassie, I drive up to Irvine a few miles up the coast but when I walk onto the beach from the busy car park I immediately turn around. It’s packed, and not my thing at all.
