225. Troon Beach

I’m staying near Troon in order to catch the early ferry to Arran tomorrow morning so I continue my short tour of the local beaches with a walk on this expansive and very nice local beach, which runs for a good mile or so beside the village and the famous international golf course. Access to the beach is restricted to protect the dunes so I join at the busy northern entrance and walk south, which steadily becomes more deserted.  For me, this is the nicest of the many beaches in the area.
