Heading around the Stoer peninsula back to the main coast road, I come to the remote fishing village of Culkein, which looks out over the Bay of Culkein and is one of only two north-facing beaches on the peninsula (the other being Clashnessie). The small bay is backed by a few cottages and a small jetty, with great views of the beach from the approaching road.
