84. Clachtoll Beach

Just up the road from Achmelvich is its equally illustrious near neighbour Clachtoll. It too is backed by a small caravan park and campsite, making this another summer honeypot, but today it is just a few dog-walkers and me. I climb around the rugged hills flanking the beach, which allow for great views down to the turquoise water. I pop into the ranger’s hut in the car park before leaving to learn more about the area and local wildlife.
