84. Clachtoll Beach

Just up the road from Achmelvich is its equally illustrious near neighbour Clachtoll. It too is backed by a small caravan park and campsite, making this another summer honeypot, but today it was just a few dog-walkers and me.  I climbed up around the rugged hills flanking the beach, which allowed great views down to the turquoise water. I popped into the ranger’s hut in the car park before leaving to learn more about the area and local wildlife.
