154. Holm Beach
13 September 2023
The tiny village of Holm in the south of Stornoway was to be my last stop on this wonderful exploration of Lewis and Harris. By now my feet were tired and the rain was threatening to step up a gear, so it was time to call it a day and relax back at the hotel. I parked at the end of the village road, nodded to a local boat-builder and took a stroll along the edge of the small, attractive stony beach which actually lies on both sides of a small track. To one side, a family of Highland cattle were enjoying the beach. It was a relaxing and pleasant way to notch up my 38th and final beach of the trip.
