A thin strip of land known as the Braighe connects Stornoway town from the peninsula known as Point, and Melbost beach (or Braighe beach) sits right alongside the strip’s connecting road. The car park for the beach sits more or less midway along the strip, and provides easy access down to the wide and attractive sandy beach.
