122. Coll Beach

Another easily accessible golden beach on the east coast of Lewis and only a few miles from Stornoway. Coll Beach (Tràigh Chuil) is crescent shaped, largely sheltered and forming part of the expansive Broad Bay. This was my fifth beach as I worked my way down the B895 and the rain, whilst not heavy, was relentless. Soaked through, despite my waterproofs, I decided to call it a day here and head down to Harris where I would be based for the next two days (with much better weather!).
