122. Coll Beach

Here’s another easily accessible golden beach on the east coast of Lewis and only a few miles from Stornoway. Coll Beach (Tràigh Chuil) is crescent shaped, largely sheltered and forming part of the expansive Broad Bay. This is my fifth beach as I work my way down the B895 and the rain, whilst not heavy, is relentless. Soaked through, despite my waterproofs, I decide to call it a day here and head down to Harris where I will be based for the next two days (with much better weather!).
