Along the 15 mile stretch of the B895 north of Stornoway the golden sand beaches come thick and fast, all largely sheltered, quiet and accessible. This beach near the village of Gress, Tràigh Griais, is a perfect spot for an evening walk, with the low dunes attracting sheep, birds and wild flowers.
