182. Armadale Bay

Another dramatic bay nestled into the rugged north coast, close enough from the coast road to be accessible but far enough to be classed as remote and unspoilt. Like its neighbouring bays, Armadale is backed by high dunes, framed by cliffs and deep enough for the waves to build with dramatic effect. A tidal inlet runs into the beach, requiring a delicate crossing over rocks to traverse both sides of the beach.
