It’s been a nice early morning walk from Dornoch to the village of Embo, although I had to stride through some long grass at one point and the early morning dew left my walking trousers drenched. The village itself is dominated by a huge but obviously well managed caravan and camping park. On the other side of the village sits the beautiful golden beach with stunning black and green rocks and high dunes, still empty at this early hour. I imagine generations of holidaymakers have spent memorable summers at Embo and on this lovely beach.
