177. Roberts Haven

My arrival at John O’Groats has coincided with a nice spell of sunshine and blue sky after an otherwise murky morning. I’m not blown away with John O’Groats itself – a bit tacky, full of gift shops and takeaways – but I still take the obligatory signpost photo and then set off east, following the coastal path heading towards the impressive Duncansby Stacks. After just a few minutes I come to the small beach of Roberts Haven just before the Ness of Duncansby.
