111. Greenhill Beach
15 May 2023
Near the village of Sandaig there’s a sign for parking in a field behind the dunes of TrĂ igh Ghrianal, a small rocky cove sitting just south of the vast beach known as The Maze. A handy sign behind the beach describes how Atlantic storms being flotsam and jetsam to the beach here from as far afield as the Caribbean, so it’s not unusual to find a washed-up coconut or climbing plant on the shore. Behind the dunes, a number of cows took an interest in my car when I returned and I had to make my way through them to get back to the main road as they stubbornly refused to move!
