111. Greenhill Beach

Near the village of Sandaig I spot a sign for parking in a field behind the dunes of Tràigh Ghrianal, a small rocky cove sitting just south of the vast beach known as The Maze. A handy sign behind the beach describes how Atlantic storms being flotsam and jetsam to the beach here from as far afield as the Caribbean, so it’s not unusual to find a washed-up coconut or climbing plant on the shore. Behind the dunes, a number of cows take an interest in my car when I return and I have to make my way through them to get back to the main road as they stubbornly refused to move!
