Following the road west past Crossapol we reach Soroby (Sorobaidh) Bay, another impressive white arc of sand. The road turns inland at the eastern edge of the beach but there is enough room to park at Crossapol Farm for an easy walk onto the beach. The alternative access point is at the other end near the village of Balemartine, where the road re-joins the coast. This, like its neighbour at Crossapol, is a popular beach for surfers and wind-surfers. It’s rocky at both ends, but otherwise pristine white sand in-between. I managed to get a shot of the bay as I left Tiree from the plane, which gives you a good view of this impressive beach.
