264. Aberdour Silver Sands

I’m impressed with Aberdour. It feels like a peaceful, well maintained and attractive village. To the east of the village lies the popular Silver Sands beach, and it looks like there’s been a lot of recent investment to open up accessibility and improve facilities here – a large car park, motor home charging, changing huts and an under construction cafe. A few hardy swimmers are taking a dip and some dog walkers are about, but it’s otherwise quiet, even on this sunny Saturday morning. Across the bay are the islands of Inchmickery and Inchcolm.
