After an aborted attempt to visit the beaches of East Lothian the previous week, I am back on the east coast to make a second attempt, and this time with fine weather in store. As I make my way up the A1 and over the border, I stop briefly to check out the small local beach at Eyemouth, which must be the first Scottish beach heading anti-clockwise around the coast and just a few miles from the border. Unfortunately, the tide is in, smashing against the sea wall as I walk past. I only manage to walk on a small section of beach on the far side so I climb the hill at the back of the beach for a better view.
