After an aborted attempt to visit the beaches of East Lothian the previous week, I was back on the east coast to make a second attempt, and this time with fine weather in store. As I made my way up the A1 and over the border, I stopped briefly to check out the small local beach at Eyemouth, which must be the first Scottish beach heading anti-clockwise around the coast and just a few miles from the border. Unfortunately, the tide was in, smashing against the sea wall as I walked past.  I only managed to walk on a small section of beach on the far side and climb the hill at the back of the beach.
