207. Pease Bay

I didn’t know anything about this beach, which lies just south of the village of Cockburnspath, but as I make my way north from Coldingham Bay to East Lothian I spot the dramatic bay from high on the road above. It turns out to be the exclusive beach of the Pease Bay Leisure Park, which backs the bay. I make my way through the holiday homes, surprised by how many are in use in mid-January, and down onto the beach. Notable is the huge Red Rock at one end of the beach, with its attractive layers of sandstone. Easy to miss, but a pleasant beach.
